Insurance Rate Review

An independent evaluation of Vermont’s use of federal grant funds and its impact on the rate review process concludes that Vermont’s review process has saved consumers approximately $108 million since 2013, or about 2.8% of total proposed premiums. The report concludes that the GMCB has a strong rate review process and robust consumer resources. The report also includes recommendations for further improving public access and enhancing the rate review process.
