Act 167 Community Engagement

These public comments were submitted to GMCB about the ongoing community engagement project to support hospital transformation. In the fall of 2023, public meetings were held to hear directly from Vermonters about their experiences with the healthcare system. A second round of meetings were held the summer of 2024. More information about this project can be found here.

Fall 2023

In 2022, the legislature passed Act 167 (of 2022) which called for healthcare delivery reform in the state of Vermont. A central part of this legislation is developing community- and data- informed options to transform Vermont’s healthcare system that improve access, affordability, quality, and sustainability.
